About

Food and fellowship go hand in hand. I was fortunate to grow up in a family where we met around the dinner table every night and enjoyed a home cooked meal. When our extended family got together we enjoyed many traditional celebration meals, it was always delicious and many fond memories revolve around our family feasts.

I was encouraged to cook by my grandparents at a young age and my parents gave me the freedom to explore in the kitchen. I watched and learned then tried it myself. I wanted to be able to share the joy that my family shared with me. I hope that through Tim’s Kitchen Table I can help others do the same.

I believe food servers many purposes in our society. First and most important it provides the nutrition we need to survive and thrive. We seem to have lost sight of this as much of the food that we manufacture is not designed to nourish, but instead to entertain and generate profits. We need to focus more on nourishment and ensure that all in our society receive it.

There is nothing wrong with food being a source of pleasure, food should taste great and make people happy. Special occasions are celebrated with traditional meals, these are some of the happiest memories I have. All should be able to enjoy the same. We need a balanced approach to food.

Food is a creative outlet for me; people enjoying what I create and prepare is very satisfying. I love sharing food with family, friends and those who often don’t get the quantity and quality of food they deserve.

At Tim’s Kitchen Table I will share with all who chose to follow nutritious day to day recipes , recipes for special occasions as well as some of my favorite suppliers and foods.

I will also share my personal efforts to bring the nutrition and the pleasure of food to those who are underfed despite living in a society that has an abundance of high quality food. I hope this will inspire others to help in this important task and provide the tools needed for people to feed themselves.
